Between Dusk is an energetic rock band hailing from the picturesque South Okanagan region. Founded in June 2023 by the talented trio of Justin, Dee, and Ozone, the band quickly began to create a unique sound that blends captivating bluesy riffs with a vibrant rocking rhythm. Shortly after their formation, John joined the lineup, enhancing their dynamic with his contributions. Now a four-piece ensemble, Between Dusk captivates audiences with their infectious energy and musical creativity.

About us
The band was established in June 2023 when Justin met Ozone and Dee for the first time. They instantly clicked during their first jam session and have been performing together ever since. Justin takes the lead in songwriting, with Ozone expertly arranging the pieces and Dee delivering powerful bluesy riffs. John joined the band later as the bassist, filling a crucial role and solidifying their status as a full rock band..
Between locations
We play mostly around South Okanagan, such as Oliver, OK Falls, Penticton, Osoyoos, and Kelowna. However, we have also played at PoCo and Lytton. We like to travel—ROAD TRIP!
We might travel to Asia and play there too!
Our gigs
We kicked off our journey with a performance at the Firehall Brewery in Oliver, then moved on to the Hwy 97 Brewery in Penticton. We made a powerful impact at Gino’s Coffee House in Osoyoos and O’Flannigan’s Pub in Kelowna. Our presence was felt at Detonate Brewing Company in Summerland, as well as Dunnenzie’s Pizza Co in Kelowna. We rocked The Bennet in Port Coquitlam and took the stage at Clancy’s in Penticton. Music in the Park in Okanagan Falls showcased our talent, and we made a splash at the Lytton River Festival in Lytton. This was just a glimpse of our extensive list of performances at numerous venues.

Justin Koshman
LEAD VOCAL & GUITAR
Justin, a talented Canadian folk songwriter, has been dedicated to music since his teenage years. He actively shares his passion by performing solo at various wineries and breweries throughout the South Okanagan, connecting with audiences and enhancing the local music scene. Additionally, he has broadened his musical horizons by recording a single album in Sweden, showcasing his artistic journey and creativity.
Dee
LEAD GUITAR
Dee is a rock guitar player from Indonesia with a strong passion for blues and metal music. He draws inspiration from iconic guitarists like Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Johnson, and Zakk Wylde, which informs his distinctive style. His impressive blues riffs highlight his dedication to rock music, showcasing not only his skill but also his deep appreciation for the genre.
Jay Kay
BASS
John is a skilled session bass player originally from Toronto, Ontario, specializing in the punk and rock genres. He moved to Oliver reflects a desire for a quieter lifestyle, yet he remains deeply committed to his passion for music by actively engaging with multiple bands. John’s remarkable ability to quickly learn new songs highlights his dedication and adaptability, enabling him to build a rich and diverse repertoire of bass playing styles.
Ozone
DRUMMER
Ozone began honing his musical skills as a choir boy in church, which laid a strong foundation for his diverse talents. He has successfully learned to play several instruments, including the keyboard, piano, saxophone, and guitar. When he joined the band, he took on the challenge of playing the drums for the first time. Additionally, Ozone’s ability to arrange music by ear sets him apart, allowing him to skillfully blend different genres into harmonious and captivating compositions.
